On the Structure of Cooperative and Competitive Solutions for a Generalized Assignment Game
نویسندگان
چکیده
We study cooperative and competitive solutions for a manyto-many generalization of Shapley and Shubik [9]s assignment game. We consider the Core, three other notions of group stability and two alternative de nitions of competitive equilibrium. We show that (i) each group stable set is closely related with the Core of certain games de ned using a proper notion of blocking and (ii) each group stable set contains the set of payo¤vectors associated to the two de nitions of competitive equilibrium. We also show that all six solutions maintain a strictly nested structure. Moreover, each solution can be identi ed with a set of matrices of (discriminated) prices which indicate how gains from trade are distributed among buyers and sellers. In all cases such matrices arise as solutions of a system of linear inequalities. Hence, all six solutions have the same properties from a structural and computational point of view. The competitive advantages analysis of pharmaceutical industry strategic behaviors by game theory
Game theory is the study of mathematical models and cooperation between intelligent rational decision-makers. This paper provides a flexible model to calculate pay-off matrix based on several importance factors. This model is adapted by cooperative game and developed for some competitive advantages sections in pharmaceutical industry. An optimum solution is derived by considering Nash equilibri...
متن کاملAn Integrated Approach for Measuring Performance of Network structure: Case study on power plants
Data envelopment analysis (DEA) and balanced scorecard (BSC) are two well-known approaches for measuring performance of decision making units (DMUs). BSC is especially applied with quality measures, whereas, when the quantity measures are used to evaluate, DEA is more appropriate. In the real-world, DMUs usually have complex structures such as network structures. One of the well-known network s...
متن کاملIntegrated Competitive Pricing and Transshipment Problem for Short Life Cycle Products’ Supply Chain
This paper integrates competitive pricing and network design problems for the short life cycle products. The pricing problem determines selling prices of the products for different life cycle phases in a competitive market, as well as acquisition management of returned products. Besides, the selling and acquisition prices are related to the distance between distribution centers and customers. T...
متن کاملTwo-tier Supplier Base Efficiency Evaluation Via Network DEA: A Game Theory Approach
In today's competitive markets, firms try to reduce their supply cost by selecting efficient suppliers using different techniques. Several methods can be applied to evaluate the efficiency of supplier base. This paper develops generalized network data envelopment analysis models to examine the efficiency of two-tier supplier bases under cooperative and non-cooperative strategies where each tier...
متن کاملAnalysis of implementation of Tradable Green Certificates system in a competitive electricity market: a game theory approach
This paper investigates three models to implement Tradable Green Certificates (TGC) system with aid of game theory approach. In particular, the competition between thermal and renewable power plants is formulated in three models: namely cooperative, Nash and Stackelberg game models. The price of TGC is assumed to be determined by the legislative body (government) which is fixed. Numerical examp...
متن کاملA decentralized multi-level leader-follower game for network design of a competitive supply chain
This paper develops a decentralized leader-follower game for network design of a competitive supply chain problem in which a new chain as the leader enters a market with one existing supply chain as a follower. Both chains produce an identical product, customer demand is inelastic and customer utility function is based on Huff gravity-based model. The leader wants to shape his network and set a...
